The goal of this full house renovation in London was to update and remodel the rooms so they better suited their purpose, delivering a cohesive, tranquil look inspired by minimal interiors.
Spacious, uncomplicated and bright rooms were an essential requirement of the property renovation. Across the house, we focused our attention on maximising space and light whilst incorporating clean lines and fine craftsmanship.
“The main focuses for the house renovation were to remodel the bathrooms, update the flooring and improve the storage capacity across the property.”
The clients wanted to obtain a stunning house renovation which personalised the space without adding unnecessary complexity.
“Using our extensive experience, we were able to help our clients develop their ideas so they acquired the practical, appealing yet uncomplicated spaces they desired.”
With bespoke joinery, flooring and bathroom design at the top of their list, our clients benefited from access to our exclusive design services.
From 3D visualisations to bespoke furniture, we helped our clients create the tailored spaces they envisioned with seamless design from floor to ceiling and high-grade furnishings crafted to their exact requirements.
3D visualisations meant the clients were able to experiment with the monochrome palette they desired and see how the concept design would deliver the light-filled, minimal interiors they wanted. With the concept design agreed, we settled on a collection of neutral monochrome hues accented with warming greys.
From our first visit we were really excited about the blank canvas the project delivered. The terrace house had so much potential.
“Each of the bathrooms had interesting architectural features and beautiful skylights we knew we wanted to enhance.”
The same was true in each of the rooms across the house. We knew bespoke joinery, quality furnishings and seamless design could amplify the light and space whilst making each room a more practical and enjoyable place to be.
We wanted each of the three bathrooms in the London terrace house to be a serene, light-filled space where our clients could relax and unwind at the end of a long day. We reworked the layout of each bathroom to create functional, uncluttered and appealing spaces.
Downstairs, we separated the bathroom into a slick cloakroom toilet and walk-in wardrobe.
Bespoke joinery meant we were able to maximise the space with built-in floor to ceiling storage to stow away a wide range of items out of sight. Open shelving opposite the entrance plus targeted recessed lighting and warm grey hues create a modern frame which invites you into the room whilst enhancing the sense of space.
In the cloakroom toilet, the floating toilet, reflective surfaces, sliding door, partial wall tiling and continuation of the patterned floor tiles from the walk-in wardrobe ensure the cloakroom toilet feels roomy and bright despite being windowless.
A collection of warm, neutral tones on the walls and natural wooden and patterned tile flooring help to define each space whilst adding interest and character.
“The neutral colour scheme continues across the room furnishings, transforming the living area and hallway into a calm, seamless space.”
Here and there, contrasting rugs add gentle, natural colour which complements the wooden flooring and monochrome scheme. Simplicity is key so any patterns across the house renovation continue the focus on clean lines, simple shapes and muted colours.
The layouts of the bathrooms upstairs were remodelled into modern retreats. By transforming the design of each bathroom we were able to install state of the art walk-in showers and luxurious fixtures in what originally looked like small, cramped spaces.
“Glass surrounds, reflective surfaces and beautiful floating bathroom vanities with sinks create even more space whilst providing high-performing furnishings with clean, luxurious design features and lots of storage.”
In the largest bathroom, the freestanding slipper bath, outlet and floating toilet make excellent use of the sloped ceiling. By making full use of the space with considered furnishings, it’s possible to install a sumptuous double shower for the ultimate in luxury bathroom decor.
Floor to ceiling tiles in a neutral colourway and contemporary alcove shelving in the shower wall enhance the bright, spacious and indulgent feel of the space, complemented by the skylights which are now a beautiful feature of the room.
Upstairs we continued the monochrome colour scheme of the house renovation. We used dove grey carpets throughout the rooms and hallways to enhance the sense of calm and cohesion whilst adding texture and warmth.
“The clients wanted the bedrooms to be clutter-free, practical retreats with plenty of light and space.”
In each bedroom we used further bespoke joinery to create extensive storage via custom floor to ceiling wardrobes in the same elegant grey hue we used downstairs.
Each bedroom design followed the streamlined, minimal scheme of the whole house renovation. The built-in wardrobes were complemented by recessed target lighting and neutral decor, creating tranquil, bright bedrooms with lots of space.
Using our bespoke furniture service our clients were able to design each built-in wardrobe to their exact specifications. Custom drawers, shelving, hanger space and shoe storage means belongings are organised, neatly stored out of sight and easy to access. Constructed in a timeless, minimal style, these high-grade, bespoke storage solutions are a wonderful investment buy you’ll relish daily.
